Visual Coding in the Real World
Node-based visual coding, used on Elementari, is a method applied in the real world to create popular games and movies. For example:
- Unreal Engine: Used for games like Fortnite, Kingdom Hearts 3, and Rocket League.
- Unity: The engine behind Pokemon Go and many other games.
- Houdini: Utilized for animated movies like Moana and Frozen.
- Massive: Employed in creating large battle scenes in Game of Thrones and Lord of the Rings.
Coding for Kids
You can start by creating a simple slideshow or digital storytelling book without needing any coding. However, coding adds a unique layer of storytelling. Many of our interactive lessons include basic coding and guide students step-by-step through learning how to code - from adding animations, voiceovers, different endings, and other interactions.
